As the mornings and nights are getting lighter and the clocks change next weekend, Spring is truly on it’s way. I can not wait for the warmer weather and lighter nights. You just can’t beat Spring/Summer. Not only does the weather change but so does my wardrobe and makeup collection, from turtle necks and a dark lip, to mom jeans and a pink lip. I thought I would share how to transition your makeup collection for this Spring.
Lightweight Foundation
In the winter I tend to opt for a full coverage and heavy foundation, that matches my pale skin. However, I prefer a more lightweight and glowy finish in the Spring/Summer. So therefore, I tend to reach foundations that leave me with this finish to the skin. A firm favourite of mine is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. It is a light weight, medium coverage foundation, that provides a dewy finish. I love this foundation and find it matches my pale skin perfectly, due to it’s vast shade range. I am sure this will be all I wear this Spring!
Coral Blush
I am not really big of wearing a blush, it is not a product I have much of in my collection or even tend to buy. I just think it’s not a necessity for me, however in the Spring I like to have a touch of pink on my cheeks. A recent blush that has came into my collection is the MAC Satin Powder Blush in Sultry Sweet. It’s a gorgeous muted pink with specks of shimmer, that adds a subtle colour to the cheeks. It is going to be perfect for the Spring and I can’t wait to wear it more over the upcoming months!
Glowy Skin
I love an illuminating primer, it adds such a pretty glow to the skin and makes my cheeks glow so bright. I love this one from Collection in the shade Cool Rose, it was only £4.99 which is so cheap in comparison to the high end illuminating primers I own. I either wear this as a base before applying my foundation or mix it in with my foundation, to make it more dewy and glow even more on my skin. I love it!
Pink Shimmer Highlight
I could not live without highlighter, I wear it every single time I do my makeup and I just feel like it finishes any makeup look. Whether it’s a subtle highlight to the cheeks or an intense highlight, I am all for it. This Strobe and Glow Kit from MUA Luxe, contains both a cream and powder highlight, I tend to reach for the powder highlighter more which is a pink shimmer. It is not too intense but not too subtle, it adds such a gorgeous pink shimmer to my cheeks. I can’t wait to wear this more over the Spring months!
Nude/Pink Lip
I am living for this lip combo at the moment from Huda Beauty. I received both the lip liner and liquid lipstick in 2 different Glossyboxs over the past 6 months. They are both a nude/pink tone colour, which work well both on their own as well as together. I love a nude lip for day to day wear, so I know I will be wearing this combo to death, especially in Spring!

I’m the worst for this, never transition my makeup and tend to stick to the same nude lip colour and heavy foundation all year round!

I am so bad at doing the same don’t worry, you are not alone. I tend to try and change it up, but sometimes I stick to what I know or love at the timeXx

I love wearing pink lipsticks in the summer. I find it so hard to wear lipstick in the winter as often my lips are cracked from the cold but in the summer they are perfect for wearing lipstick… even if I do leave lipstick marks on all of my water bottles! xx
